A Little Smalltalk 21 Jun 2003
By Nikki
Format:Paperback
This book is the best book I've ever come across which tells you everything about smalltalk you would like to know. It is for beginners, intermediate, and advance. There is something for everyone in this book, it contents 476 pages. The explanations are simplified enough for a layman to understand and it is not too texting. Most programming books are very texting that is why I liked this book and it gave me everything what I wanted to know in one book. Also the material in this book is very well organised.

Hope you enjoy this book - like I did. I used this book for studying smalltalk and later doing a project in smalltalk application.

This belongs on every programmer's bookshelf 20 Aug 2001
By Jock Murphy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a wonderfull little book that not only introduces the reader to object-oriented programming, but also describes the implementaion of a SmallTalk-like language. The book does not cover the more advanced topics of OO programming, but is an excelent tutorial and introduction to OO concepts. The section that covers the implementation of the language provides hard to find insights to how OO languages work at a very low level. Just as learning another spoken language will aid you in understanding the one you speak, reading "A Little Smalltalk" will help in your understanding of OO languages.

It belongs on the self of everyone who programs in an object-oriented language.
