Little Pig Figwort is such a book. Little Pig Figwort just cannot get to sleep, no matter how hard he tries, and realises that part of the problem is that he really is a pig who would rather be having fun than sleeping. So he decides that he should have an adventure, and sets off into the night in search of good times. Henrietta Branford was born in India in 1946, the daughter of an army officer, but settled with her parents in the New Forest.
She married photographer Paul Carter, and had three children. Her writing career started with a column in her local newspaper.
Little Pig Figwort is Henrietta’s last book and was published after her death from breast cancer in April 1999.
