Book Description

1 Aug 2013

Little Mouse has found a new book, and this time it’s full of scary creatures. Undaunted, he bravely sets about removing or altering all the scariest bits: cosy mittens to cover the lion’s claws, ruby lips to replace the shark’s teeth -- and he even pole vaults out of the way of the bear!

Full of flaps, jokes and Emily Gravett’s trademark wit, with a brilliantly satisfying ending, this is a worthy successor to Little Mouse’s Big Book of Fears.

Characterised by Gravett's trademark wit, humour and imagination, this is a special book that will charm parents and children alike: the amazing final page in which the mouse itself is transformed into a fearsome beast offers an especially entertaining final twist. (Booktrust Online)

3.0 out of 5 stars Big Book of Beasts 20 Sep 2013

If Amazon had allowed me to take a proper look inside this book I probably wouldn't have bought it as I think it is aimed at children older than my 3yr old daughter. I bought it so my Mum could give it (and the mouse's book of fears)to her for her birthday. My daughter doesn't want to look at it! She loves most of her many books. It's more a fictional form of encyclopaedia of scary animals. Amazon parcelled it well as usual.
