This is a lovely board book with great animal themed illustrations and toddler proof pull out tabs. It illustrates the language and actions you would want your toddler to use in everyday situations - saying please, thank you, you're welcome, good morning, good night. It also gives examples of being patient, tidy up time, listening and behaving in general.

The book itself is sturdy and well made, and the pull out sections seem quite strong but...this book never gets chosen in our house as it's not much fun! The words just seem a little pious and preachy eg "I can listen when Mummy is talking to me" "I can answer nicely after Daddy asks me a question". I'm all for well behaved children, but I think a book aimed at age 1+ should be at least a little bit fun. I'm not sure how many 1 year olds could grasp these concepts - my 14 month old seems way too young for these statements to be meaningful as she isn't even talking yet. I think a 2 or 3 year old would be able to understand but might find this format a bit babyish.

This was an excellent book for my two year old granddaughter,she goes for the colours,slide outs and knew how to use it within a short time and now she picks it out to look at.

Well liked
