I truly enjoyed this when part of it was posted on Authonomy and since then I've read a lot more.
If you like Grumpy Old Men on the TV you'll love this. A compendium of the un-hip reminding us of so much we'd hoped we'd forgotten. I laughed out loud on the first page and I'd be staggered if you don't too.

This is great fun! I winced in many places at how unhip this book rates me, but I laughed so often that in the end I just didn't care!! Kate Rigby's book is for anyone who's ever worn socks with salads (Salads?? I meant sandals of course), hummed along to Gilbert O'Sullivan, been embarrassed by parents, arrived early to a party, or owns some audio tapes ... well, that's pretty much all of us I guess!
I won't give away any more of the categories or it would spoil the surprise, but this is a funny book and will cheer up your day.

This is a very funny book. Some of it you'll enthusiastically agree with, with other bits you'll have the fun of howling 'No!' when you reach them. It comes in short bites, so that you can pick it up and read a part at a time, if that's what you want to do. But be warned, you may find yourself reading on and unable to stop; so if you keep it available for visitors and yourself to read in the loo, you may be interrupted by frantic bangings on the door, and shouts of,'How much longer are you going to be in there?' Read it at your own risk - but be sure to read it!
