Product Description

Product Description

Young women today have a bad reputation, and for good reason: They’re sexting their classmates, they spend more time on FaceBook than they do in class, and their appetite for material possessions and reality TV is matched only by their overwhelming apathy about important social and political issues. Right?

Wrong.

FBomb blog creator Julie Zeilinger debunks these (and other) myths about modern youth in A Little F’d Up, the first book about feminism for young women in their teens and twenties to actually be written by one of their peers. In this accessible handbook, Zeilinger takes a critical, honest, and humorous look at where young feminists are as a generation, and where they’re going—and she does so from the perspective of someone who’s in the trenches right alongside her readers.

Fun, funny, and engaging, A Little F’d Up is a must-read for the growing number of intelligent, informed young women out there who are ready to start finding their voice—and changing the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for teenagers and young adults with misconceptions about Feminism! 22 Mar 2013

I was confused by Feminism. But this introduced me to it in my own way of speaking. My views have changed to appreciate feminism because this was written by an eighteen year old who discovered it herself. It takes the guesswork out of all the scholarly jargon of other books and you really get to the values.
2.0 out of 5 stars Too Pandering 23 Feb 2013
By Paige - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I was initially excited to read a book written by a young woman for young women (and men) about feminism, but I was quickly disappointed, I felt like it was geared towards someone much younger than me, I am 19, and that the tone was just pandering. By the 40th time you say "badass" it doesn't make the book relatable, it just detracts from your argument. I thought the book did offer a decent summary of feminism, but did seem to brush over topics, there was never any in depth analysis.
4.0 out of 5 stars An educational and funny read 29 Dec 2012

The book focused more on history than I expected, but I did learn new things and other parts of the book were very funny. Thank you for the work you do, keep it up!

Note: I do need to correct you on one thing. Nick Carter was in the Backstreet Boys, not NSYNC!
