I bought this book soon after my little boy was born and began reading it to him while he was in his moses basket. 20 months on we still have to read from this book every night before he goes to bed only now to cries of 'more' whenever we reach the end of a story!
The illustrations are amusing, bright watercolours which appeal to little minds and the fairy tales have been re-worked to bring them up to date. The stories have been kept simple so are perfect for reading aloud. There's not too much text in each page and there is plenty of scope for putting your own word around the illustrations too.
Thoroughly recommend this to anyone who has the pleasure of reading out loud to little ones!

I enjoy reading this book to my 3 year old. The drawings are nice and the story are detailed enough for the older child. It's a really good book and I look forward to reading it every bedtime. It also looks nice and so far no pages have been ripped out. Happy :)
