I bought this book to replace my copy that I had lent to someone and couldn't remember who. Two days afterwards the original was returned to me! It is one of the best books I've used over the years The newly purchase one was a used copy but is in excellent condition. I have given it to the friend who borrowed the original! It took quite a while to arrive but not a problem.

I am a great Katharine Guerrier fan having done several classes with her. This being an older book it is interesting to see how her style developed. I have worked several of the ideas, they are very up to the minute-looking, if you see what I mean

I bought a used copy which was actually as new. Very impressed.Buying used is ideal because the books are quite expensive

Lots of Lovely Little Quilts! 14 Nov. 2000
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Hardcover
Simply a delightful little book ideal for coffee-table or sewing room. It's bulging with all kinds of quilts-from traditional to modern for quilters of all levels of skills and tastes. There are many shortcuts and innovative ideas and methods, well-explained and illustrated. Almost all diagrams and all photographs are in colour which makes it a pleasure to read or browse through, making it especially excellent for readily and easily achievable projects for quilters frustrated by a hectic schedule. I love just looking through it!

Okay but not the best. 5 Dec. 2003
By E. Pennington - Published on
Format: Hardcover
I bought this at a used book store. I only like about 3 of the quilts in the entire book. One of which being the cover quilt. The cover quilt is an adorable look that can be improvised for your own personal color scheme. My gripe aabout the book is that you have to adjust some of the pattern pieces (not full size) or trace them and all of the quilts are too tiny to be functional -- but they are very time consuming. If you can get it cheap it's worth it -- otherwise forget it. Erin

Little information in this little book 30 April 2002
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Hardcover
The pictures of the quilts in this book are great, but my problem is with the directions - there are too few of them!
The book assumes a lot on the part of the reader, so if you don't have at least 3 or 4 quilts under your belt, pass on this book. Its directions are confusing and it neglects to tell you how much fabric is needed for each project (something that's handy and useful to know when going to the fabric store).
Nice book for pictures! 18 Mar. 2013

Nice book for its pictures. This was purchsed for my Mother, an experienced quilter. The instructions are terrible. They are confusing and in some cases missing(assuming the reader knows what to do between wriiten steps).
