Gwen Grant writes stories for children of all ages, and runs creative writing groups. For Orchard, she has also written Fox Fire, a story for older children. Gwen lives in Nottinghamshire. Sue Hellard has illustrated many successful children's including the Dilly the Dinosaur series. She lives in north London.
Little Blue Car sets off on an adventure to the seaside, but when night falls and he isn't yet home he starts to feel frightened. One by one, a friendly lorry, a bus and a tractor show him how to look after himself with his windscreen wipers, his lights and his heater and he soon finds his way home.
