Similar and Regular and Like Everybody Else 9 Aug 2005
By Ulyyf - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
On the surface, this is a book about being a dwarf, but, in reading it, it's clear that this is a book on two people struggling with conformity and normality. Our main character has a mother who judges people by how well they fit in. Reading non-inspirational books, being around people who aren't perfectly formed enough is "depressing".

It's a good take on the subject, really.
The book came in good shape, and promptly.... 29 April 2012

...but I wasn't crazy about the book itself, for all its supposed greatness. I thought it a little too edgy for a book written for its intended audience, with its strange characters and plot, however creative. (I'm pretty conservative-minded when it comes to books for young people.)
Finally a realistic view of a young adult drawf. 26 Oct 1998

This book shows young adult drawfs as they are in real life: some slow, some clever, some honest, some con men. Humorous at times, but always down to earth. I enjoyed reading something about drawfs other than a medical report.
