Unfortunately, like some of the others said, this thing not only had an unpleasant odour, this thing stank. Admittedly, it smells of rubber, but the smell is just too strong. Also it has a very unpleasant texture to it too, I bought it to use for my lower back muscles, but I would rather pay £10 on a hot water bottle that is nice to have next to the skin. I don't know who the company had in mind when they made these, because it is majorly flawed. If using this to stay warm at bed, unfortunately the smell and texture of it will keep you awake. Used it twice, tried to wash it, no joy, Chucked it. And I've only had it 3 days.

I was in two minds wheather to purchase these or not as the reviews were a bit hit and miss, our local supermarket had sold out, so l didn't have a choice. When l unpacked them they were covered with what seemed to be smellie oil, but with some kitchen roll it came off, l presume this is what reviewers said was the smell as it is pretty bad, but l got rid of the oil (l think was a coating to keep the rubber supple and stop it from cracking) and they seem to be fine, upto now no problems.

We have finaly thrown this bottle away. When first filled it gave off a pungent smell which made my wife and I feel ill. no ammount of washing and leaving out in the open air has removed this offensive stink. with China's history of dodgy paints and solvents this product should be checked
