OK, you wouldn't use these for rubble, but for general household duties they are fine, unless you have any embarrassing rubbish, in which case their semi-transparent quality isn't for you. I use them in my shredder, then force-feed the part-full sacks through the narrow slots on the paper container at my local supermarket recycling centre. (Kerbside recycling teams fight shy of 10 sacks of recycled shredded paper. Man, this country has a long way to go on this sort of thing.) Oh yes - if you want sacks that open easily to fit around the edges of a bin, you'll love these: they almost fall open. Great.
