As a year 4 teacher, I use this book on a regular basis to help with my planning. The CD-ROM contains resources to accompany the plans, both text based and interactive, and all can be printed off through the software on the CD (no need to worry about needing MS Office, although most schools now use this as standard).

The worksheets come in 4 varieties; Core, Support, Extension, and Teacher. The first three are for the relevant ability groups in the class, the last is a blank copy of the sheet, allowing you to create your own questions in the same format. Great for even more personalised differentiation!

having a nightmare trying to plan continuously for literacy?
this book and cd rom is great to fall back on!
it's a useful tool to dip into if you need a few quick ideas, easy to use with great ideas!
i'm off to buy the numeracy one, just hope it's as good.

This is an easy to use resource which gives you planning and resources to teach the renewed framework. I bought this to make planning with the renewed framework easier and it has. Even if you don't use the texts provided you can use the ideas and the coverage to scaffold your own texts. It has a handy feature on the CD which allows you to adapt the planning which saves lots of time. (The maths version doesn't have this!) I have dipped into this resource and added my own ideas and left out things not appropriate for my class. It's strength is that it keeps track of coverage for you and frees you up to be more creative. I would recommentd this as a good start for teaching Literacy, a real time saver.
