Solid Drive... 28 Oct 2010
By Scott D. Fannon - Published on Amazon.com
Pros:

- Cheaper than a stand-alone Bluray player
- Mine came with PowerDVD 7.3 "lite" edition (see other thoughts)
- Performs as advertisted, no compatibility problems with any of my movies so far
- Small in size
- Great Blu-Ray playback

The included PowerDVD 7.3 lite is perfectly fine for my needs. I set the audio mode to SPDIF pass-thru and it appears to be passing the full 5.1 DTS audo stream to my receiver via the optical cable. I have read about people having difficulty getting more than two channels over HDMI connections, but can't say for sure that this is not fixed by the SPDIF option. At any rate, these issues are minor considering the PowerDVD is a "freebie". It would be nice if it integrated seamlessly into Media Center, but bottom line is that I can play Blurays on my HTPC! I am satisfied.
Excellent Blu-Ray Player!!! 26 Oct 2010
By bjfannon - Published on Amazon.com
I've owned this blu-ray for about a year now and it has worked flawlessly. Plays blu-rays without a problem and the playback quality is exceptional. The drive includes PowerDVD 7.3 for free and is surprisingly small and a breeze to install. The drive is also very affordable and comparable to other drives on the market. I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for a new crisp blu-ray player. Excellent drive!

Worked for 3 Months Only 2 May 2009
By Ben - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this product from another online retailer. Player worked great for 3 months almost to the day. It then began making a high pitched whine and the next day it stopped reading any type of disk; blue ray, dvd, cd. 30-day return police with retailer and no response from Lite-On for warranty service. This product does not exist on Lite-On's website and other reviewers (elsewhere, think egg) have said they do not support the drive. Fingers crossed that they get back to me and agree to honor their warranty.

My advice, spend the extra $$ and buy a drive from a manufacturer with a better track record in customer service.
