To anyone who wants to know if this burns XDG3 it does. Also Ritek s04-66 disc will burn if you mod the firmware to burn at 2.4

This is a good, solid dvd burner. The Installation is easy (SATA is much simpler than IDE imo), just a few screws and cables. Have had no problems, although the disc tray does feel a bit flimsy (but how often are you going to wobble the disc tray?), and it is very quiet. The only reason this doesn't have five stars is that it's not absolute perfection, i.e. it could feel chunkier. But for the money you get a good deal.

Nice drive but no software?
This is a good quality DVD-RW Drive and runs without any problems. One 'missing' thing is the software to run the LightScribe labeling operation. Read more

Lightscribe disc tray
I have yet to have the time to complete any lightscribing yet but it installed fine in my computer. I had a similar lightscribe disc tray previously which worked well.
