For me, this is the first top notch INXS album. I can't call it a great album, because while I think side one (i.e. everything up to 'good and bad times") is all killer stuff, there's a couple of fillers on two. However, it's got to be worth the full five stars for the opneing three track salvo alone, which combines the three elements that made INXS a great band: funky songs about sex/desire ('What You Need") all out rockers which sort of hint at grandeur and social concerns ('LIsten like Thieves") and wholly original sounding songs that mixed tender moments and vaguely spiritual yearnings with rock ("Falling down the Mountain").
The remastering job makes it all sound fresh, and existing fans shouldn't hesitiate to make the investment all over again.
