Lisa Jackson is a former health journalist who now runs a successful clinical hypnotherapy practice, Quiet Medicine Clinical Hypnotherapy, in south London. A former fitness-phobe, she became a marathon convert at the age of 31 and has since gone on to run 22 marathons, five triathlons and two 56-mile ultramarathons. Her newfound passion for running resulted in her co-authoring Running Made Easy, which has remained Britain's best-selling beginner's running book ever since its publication in 2004. Lisa went on to lose 3.5st (22kg) through a combination of hypnotherapy, exercise and a higher-protein, moderate carbohydrate diet - and wrote about her experiences in her second book, Adore Yourself Slim. The book is based on the premise that self-belief and self-acceptance are key to slimming success, which is why readers are encouraged to adore (and not deplore or abhor!) themselves slim.
