'Liquid Sunshine' is cut from the same cloth as Vocalion's other KPM collection 'Time To Fly' and an express way to banish the winter blues. The mood is contagiously upbeat and should inspire you to leaf through some holiday brochures for a winter break. As on 'Time To Fly', I find myself gravitating towards James Clarke's compositions, especially the groovy 'Cine Beat' and the atmospheric 'English Rose'. Another exciting discovery is Keith Mansfield's exotic and ever so slightly erotic 'Sun Goddess' - you might actually leave your seat for this and have a gentle shuffle round the living room. Other standouts include Keith's effervescent 'Pretty Colours' and John Cameron's 'Liquid Sunshine' over which a female voice gently purrs.

I'm not as keen on this as 'Time To Fly' - it's a tad too over easy for my palette, but a compilation brimming with so much talent should never be marked down by one man's taste. Easy lovers, you will adore every minute.

A word of warning to anyone searching for funky KPM beats: you will not find any here.

The sound is pristine and the booklet informative.
