I bought a previous version of this book called Tax Free Millionaire in 2007. The same prediction that the stock market was about to take off was in hind-sight so horribly wrong. Buying the book was just an intro to their £2000 service from ISACO Ltd which I signed up for. A seminar in Machester then a daily email summarising what the stock market was doing and what funds they were investing their ISAs in so that their clients could copy. I stupidly followed and bought all of the funds they rated so highly and after a brief surge the market dived, taking my hard-earned ISAs down about 25% before my £2000 subsciption year ran out and ISACO asked me for another £2000 (or £1000 if quick) to carry on for another year. Needless to say I didn't renew and they were still waiting for a bounce in the market to sell into when my subscription ran out. I sold most of my funds and put it down to experience. I suspect they will claim they managed to sell the next day and buy something hugely profitable instead so it was just my bad luck, but then that's what these scams are based on I have since realised, it works some of the time and the punters who experience it stay and keep paying, and the ones who lose leave disappointed. But either way ISACO win.
Anyway, buy the book if you will, take it with a pinch of salt and beware the 'extras' on offer!

Stephen Sutherland claims that you can retire rich in just 3 minutes per day. Maybe you can but not by reading this book. It contains a battery of positive thinking platitudes and hard selling for his stock picking services. It is laden with enormous claims about the success that he and his clients have achieved but it contains virtually no useful hard new advice. If you want to become wealthy you have to go to his website and sign up for his newsletter and services but the website does not tell you how much this will cost. You need a telephone call with them so that they can milk you. If you believe his claims and the many testimonials then Stephen is a brilliant stock picker who can time entry and exit to the stock market with exquisite skill. Maybe this is true but you will have to pay a lot more money than the cost of this book to find out.

Some time before this book was published, I attended one of Stephen Sutherland's seminars. I had no ISA's but did have a SIPP which had grown by some 30% in just a couple of years through investments in stocks and shares. Stephen's advice at that moment was to be invested in cash. Like many, I thought the gains I had realised already could continue to grow. Big mistake.
During the last couple of years, like many investors, my SIPP has dropped in value by 30%!
However, being a contrarian, after the seminar, I started investing in ISAs & chose to follow Stephen's recommendations. Like others here, my portfolio has leapt ahead almost 50% while the general stock market has languished. I only wish I had used the advice to reinvest my SIPP!
You won't find all the answers to making money by investing in stocks in this book. You'll also need the services that Stephen's company promotes. But the book explains beautifully how to become a liquid tax-free millionaire. So, if you're serious about growing your wealth, you'll want serious people working alongside you to help you achieve your goals. Stephen Sutherland's team are the people to do just that!
