Meet Skye of Lynlora, a sassy young Shepherdess with a restless spirit, a taste for adventure and a smart mouth. Her humdrum existence is forever changed when she discovers magic and is chosen to battle the darkness in adventure title Darkened Skye. Armed with her wits, spells and weapons, Skye finds herself on a quest for five ancient prisms that can save the world from evil. But at least she is not alone. There's her sidekick, the obligatory wise-old knows-everything character and the mysterious love interest who has a bad habit of disappearing just when he's needed.
Take Skye on her adventures as she wields magic and kicks monster butt in this fast paced, thrilling, battle against evil. She'll have many obstacles to overcome in her quest for peace. Darkened Skye is a real-time action/adventure game with universal appeal weaving mythology and puzzle-solving with a rich narrative.

I've only given this game 3 stars because:
1. It freezes a fair amount, and you sometimes find a glitch that necessitates a reload from before you entered an area.
2. It can feel a bit repetitive.
3. It is based around the candies (sweets) called Skittles - but no big deal is made of that in game.

On the good side: the personality of Skye is great. And the NPCs are great fun to look at! The game treats its own corny bits with humour, it has puzzles to work out - but there are in-game hints in case the player is very young.
There is a lot of Tombraider style leaping from object to obejct, and a false step can spell nasty death in some locations.
The graphics are very nice - I like 'em anyway. Nice and bright and a touch cartoony; and the sound quality is good as well. All character voices are well acted and distinctive.
This may not be the best game you ever played - in fact it WON'T be - but it IS good fun and worth the asking price. Use it as a fun stop-gap while you are waiting for your next 'wish list' game to go gold. ;)

A good game based around the adventures of Skye of Lynora in her travels to restore the world to rights. There are several different locations which she travels to and from, fighting numereous enemies along the way and completeing the required tasks before she can proceed. She has to collect skittles to enhance her spell casting abilities which aids her in fighting. It is worth buying if you like puzzle/fighting adventure games.
