About the Author

Helena Frith Powell is a regular contributor to the Sunday Times—where she writes the French Mistress column—as well as the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Tatler, Harpers & Queen and the Independent on Sunday. She worked as a model in her teens while running a clothes stall at Camden Lock in London selling her own designs. She lives with her husband and their five children in the Languedoc region of the South of France, where they moved recently.
