Oh my goodness, what a laugh!

The only way to start of the weekend better than with a good book is with a great book that makes you laugh out loud! I'm glad no one else was in the flat to hear me as they would surely have thought I had finally gone crazy. This book is written brilliantly with plenty of humour. Even the simple idea of waking up and having an unidentifiable pair of knickers on your bedroom floor is funny but Rosen Trevithick takes it beyond that. The main character Ross Turpin goes around interviewing all the girls he knows trying to ascertain who the knickers belong to with all the subtlety of a rampaging rhinoceros.

This is a must read!

Any adult who read and enjoyed Louise Rennison as a teenager would love this story. The plot is simple - Ross wakes up to discover a thong and lipstick in his flat, and must find out whose they are before his girlfriend does. The writing is pacy and witty enough to keep the reader's interest for the full story - I devoured this in one sitting. Recommended to anyone looking for a well-written, light-hearted quick read. Rosen Trevithick is definitely a name to watch.

This is not the sort of thing that I usually read as the language is a bit strong for my taste at times. Looking at this objectively though, Rosen Trevithick is a very good writer. While this book is not my cup of tea, I was impressed by the quality of her writing. Although I did guess the ending I could appreciate the comic timing of the novel and I enjoyed some of the surprises along the way - I don't mean big plot surprises but little things, like the scene in the grave yard and the reaction of Sam Belinda.

Quick read
Didnt really think much of this book, there was some good comedic moments but was obvious what the outcome was going to be. Good job it was a short one!

Insubstantial
I found this a disappointment after some of its good reviews. The story was thin and shouldn't have been hung out so long. The ending was predictable and I didn't find it funny. Read more

Poor, not entertaining at all
This mini book has one mildly funny bit (involving vomit) there rest is tedious, luckily it is a short story so I did finish it.

Mildly amusing in a couple of places but lacking any kind of focus and structure. Very short, I finished it in about 20minutes and guessed the ending before the first paragraph was... Read more
