This review is from: Lips: Number One Hits - Game Only (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
I bought this game a couple of days ago (not from Amazon) and was delighted with it! I have not played the first "Lips" game and I am not a karoke addict so I was not sure as what to expect but what a delight this turned out to be. Like the first "Lips" game, there are 40 songs to choose from, some old, some new e.g. Big Girls Don't Cry, Just Dance, How You Remind me, Viva La Vida, I Heard it Through the Grapevine, Don't worry, Be Happy etc so there is something for everyone. You can also download songs and view other songs for free like Greatest Day, Love Story, Hero, Hallujah etc although there are no lyrics on screen but if you already know the words then that shouldn't be a problem.
Similarly to the first game, you cannot mute the original audio but you can turn it down (click "hard") and you can also turn the volume up on your mic via the controller so that your voice can be heard through the TV. It does not matter how out of tune you are! It's all part of the fun! You can also save your performance and then view it back if you want to. The mics are good and light up when you're singing which is great. You can also shake them and use them as a musical instrument. I would say this game is better as a two-player game but if you love singing then I'd defintely recommend buying it. It also has a lot of options and features like "Kiss" and "Time bomb" in which you have to sing to stop a bomb from exploding. It has orignal videos (which are always fun to watch) or if you don't fancy watching those, there are as always, other options. I am really pleased with game. It is great entertainment and is a ton of fun. Recommended - 5/5.

I bought the original Lips at Christmas and I just had to buy No1s to get a wider choice of songs that I like.
It is good because it displays the 40 songs from the original compilation plus the 40 new songs. I particularly enjoy She Drives Me Crazy (Fine Young Cannibals), Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears) and The Fear (Lily Allen). There are some great classics such as Pretty Woman and I Heard It Through the Grapevine. I usually have to sing alone but it is great fun when my kids and other half join in by shaking the second microphone. I have not tried the co-operative option yet - when you sing different parts. You get extra points for following the actions and matching the rhythm or pitch. I prefer to buy the games as a whole, the choice of songs on Xbox Live is disappointing - there was a voucher for five free songs with this game but you are given a limited choice of song packs rather than being allowed to actually choose your own. The songs available on Live seem very American such as J Geils Band, Huey Lewis etc. I would have liked something by Mika but nothing there! I am currently waiting for I Love the 80s to arrive to add even more. Definitely recommended!

Well, if you think you can sing you're about to find out!
Great fun for all the family - especially when they find out how bad they really are! Consider the other disk too - more songs, as well as those on Live Marketplace.
