The new Wireless-G Notebook Adapter from Linksys has both standards built in, so you can connect your notebook to existing 802.11b infrastructure, and also the new screaming fast Wireless-G networks. The included Setup Wizard will walk you through configuring the adapter to your network's settings, step by step. Then just slide it into your notebook's PC Card slot and enjoy network access with your notebook computer, while retaining true mobility.
Once you're connected, you can keep in touch with your e-mail, access the Internet, and share files and other resources such as printers and network storage with other computers on the network, wherever you wander. At home, you can surf the web or use instant messaging to chat with friends while sitting out on the patio.
You'll also be able to connect with any of the growing number of public wireless hotspots springing up in coffee shops, airport lounges, hotels and convention centers. And as those hotspots upgrade to the new high-speed Wireless-G standard, you'll be ready to take advantage of the increased speeds.
Get connected to current-standard 802.11b networks today, and be prepared for the future with the Wireless-G Notebook Adapter from Linksys.

Seamless & powerful integration with WinXP,

There is really little to say about this little card other than it has workhorse performance and is really easy to set up. I can happily report I've encountered no such problems with the Linksys kit - it just works superbly. Ok, they are not the cheapest but they are the biggest and best by a country mile. The few quid extra is worth it. Linksys are a division of Cisco - says it all really. My relatively simple setup is a hardwired broadband desktop into which I put the Linksys 54G PCI card. I then placed the PCMCIA 54G cards into two laptops. Less than a dozen mouse-clicks later I had a fully WEP enabled wireless home network; sharing broadband internet, folders and a printer. Scary or what! Total setup time (including fitting the PCI card): 1 hour. Linksys also have a superb website and support infrastructure. I really knew very little about networking when I bought these items (actually I still don't) but thankfully they are painless to implement and do the job well.

If you need to connect to the net wirelessly then look no further than this little device along with the broadband router and you just can't go wrong. I am useless with computers and yet I managed to set up the router in ten minutes and this with my notebook in literally five, insert a disk, insert the card, a few clicks and your done. The performance is fantastic and you'll not regret the purchase.

This is a nifty little PC card that provides good wireless performance and I bought it together with a Linksys WRT54G wireless access point / broadband router. It appeared to install without problems, but then prevented my laptop from booting so that I had to go back to a previous configuration. I went to the Linksys website to see whether an updated driver was available and I saw that there was one specifically for notebooks using a Texas Instruments cardbus controller (like my laptop). This solved the problem and I've not had any hassles with the card since. One does wonder, however, why a suitable driver was not supplied with the card itself as there's nothing like a defective device driver for dispelling the illusion of plug and play.
