5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, Quick & it works 11 Dec 2009
I've now got 2 of these 4 port adapters in areas where my WiFi won't reach in my house. They do exactly as the say. Quick delivery, work stright out of the box (no problems with Euro plugs like some have had)and immediately you have network connectivity - I use mine for 2 laptops and for my BlueRay player to get BD Live. Streams Iplayer fine to my laptop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fit & forget - perfection. 1 Mar 2011
I bought two of these to replace a defunct Netgear unit and extend the network into another upstairs bedroom. Since I'm a bit of a security freak, I spent a few minutes setting them up properly, then installed them. Haven't bothered to think about them since, and that was several months ago. The work nicely with my Solwise and Netgear kit (I think they all have the same chipsets), and drive the kids' PCs and XBox connections happily. Job done.

If all technology was this good, the world would be a happier place. And at this price....!

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent - but... 5 Jan 2011
I've had one of these for just over a year, it's always worked really well no complaints. Until a couple of weeks ago when it just died.

I work from home and need internet access from my office so it was imperative that I could get back up and running asap. So...

I opened it up to find two bulging capacitors. I simply replaced these with some bought from a well know electronics shop (they cost me less than 80p for the pair) and now it works again. So be aware that these may contain bad capacitors, but easy to fix if you can use a soldering iron. Typical that it failed just outside warranty

Plug and play, you may need to turn off your network and PC's then all back on if you doing it at home! Set up the IP address (not a must) and I was off! I also plugged in a printer and no longer have to worry about the WIFI black spot I have in my house! Love the look of it, what can I say....6/5, well done Linksys (Cisco). Returning a Netgear and a TP Link Powerline they didn't even come close to this! NB: I bought two of these Powerlines to make it all happen!

4.0 out of 5 stars Have walls that wi-fi can't get through? 16 Oct 2012

Providing you only have one fuse box this will sort your problems out, Plug one of these in next to your router put a network cable in both this and the router then put another one somewhere you want to gain access to the Internet plug that in and connect it via network cable and you have a secure network in the house.

you can connect up to 254 different internet connections by this method but you will find as you add more internet enabled devices that your speed on each will slow so say you have A pc connected to a tv in the living room watching streaming films and someone playing on line in the bedroom and perhaps someone using a laptop to watch another film you might find that you will be buffering the films and the game may end up "lagging" just because of the "bandwidth".

Personally I would say make sure you have at least a 3mb connection if you want to connect two things at once and that can still be "Slow" in this day and age :)

I've just found out this is no longer listed so if I was starting from scratch I would use TRENDnet TPL-401E2K 500Mbps Gigabit UK Powerline Homeplug Kit (Pair) to link point to point then add more as required.

2.0 out of 5 stars Keep failing 14 July 2012
When they work, they're great. But over the past 2 years I've had 2 of then fail for no apparent reason.
