Style Name: AC1200 Dual Band Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
To avoid any confusion this review is for the Linksys WUSB6300 AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless-AC USB Adapter (900Mbps).
As sometimes happens on Amazon listings a number of different products come under the one listing with a drop down menu to select the item.
A number of 1 star reviews you may see (May 2014) are probably for something completely different being either another adaptor or perhaps a router.
Installation of the Wireless Adaptor does need the setup files on the CD provided so if you have no DVD drive on your netbook or laptop you will need to download from the Linksys site. The Windows 7 download also applies to Windows 8.1 as confusingly reading the driver information for Windows 8 you may assume it is just plug'n play.
Once installed and the wireless router password is entered I recommend you go to Control Panel- Device Manager-Network adaptor WUSB6300-Power Management- Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power and uncheck the box. Some users have thought this was a fault with the adaptor.
The dual band 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz selection may need to be changed on your router. You may find better speed on the 5Ghz but in general a better range using 2.4Ghz. I have found it 100% reliable with no drop outs and the only minor criticism is the width of the device. This may not matter on most PC's or laptops but I was using it on an Intel NUC where the USB3 ports were side by side. This effectively blocked the use of the spare adjacent USB3 socket on the front.

I have 5 lines signal from about 5 meters from the router and 2 walls.
It is a Cisco product therefore i was expecting quality.
Luckily I bought it with 12 quids from what i remember, and for the results it was a bargain.

This review refers to the EC Technology 1800mAh power bank which I was sent for review.

This is a higher capacity power bank with 1800mAh output yet its dimensions and weight are a modest 169 x 120 x 12mm and 535g - it is very slim. In practical terms its size reminds me of Kindle Paperwhite reader. In the elegant box you get the power bank, a USB lead with interchangeable tips (USB Mini, Micro, Apple 30 pin connector, a general purpose device connector) plus a clear instruction manual. The finish is a textured aluminium enamel finish and although mine is a subtle brown you can also get silver and green variants too. I found a charge from flat via a mains USB charger takes about 5 hours and progress is shown by an LED indicator. The unit also has electronic protection circuitry and sports CE, FCC and RoHs approval markings so should be safe.

At the "control panel end" there are two full size USB sockets (with 1 Amp (socket 1) and 2.1 Amp (socket 2) outputs), a Micro USB socket for charging, a jazzy blue four segment LED charging/capacity indicator plus an on/off switch. I tested this device with an iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.0, Nokia Lumia and Moto G Smart phones. All my devices worked perfectly charging at a similar rate to that when used with their mains chargers. The power bank has sufficient power to charge an iPad fully from flat and each smartphone could be charged several times over. However, this device will equally be useful when your devices battery is low - once connected it will give your iPad or other high drain device or smartphone many more hours of life.

This power bank has lots of capacity and isn't too bulky so is well worth keeping in your briefcase/rucksack and could well keep you going for many, many hours if you are away from mains power. In addition, it is beautifully made and finished with an emphasis on safety. Recommended.

Style Name: AC1200 Dual Band Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
WiFi dongles seem to be getting smaller all the time - I have one that's about the size of a tab of chewing gum - but Linksys plainly hates this fashion, because its WUSB6300 is pretty big by dongle standards. This not only means that it looks a bit unsightly, it also means that there's a greater possibility of it being knocked out or even broken in the USB slot. On the plus side, you won't lose it in a hurry - unless it gets knocked out or broken in the USB slot.

Setting it up with my Windows 7 PC was very straightforward, although I had to use the included setup CD to do so as the Windows online drivers service was unable to find drivers for it; this is probably the first time I've seen that happen. The CD doesn't appear to provide anything in the way of a control panel to configure the dongle, so I'm assuming that its dual-band functionality is automatic. The included paper manual is pretty much useless, consisting of just three instructions, one of which is to put the CD in your computer's CD drive.

Once you've installed the drivers from the CD, which took me all of a minute at most, the setup program lets you select and connect to your chosen WiFi network. Both of my networks - 2.4 and 5GHz - showed up so I assume that the dual-band function is turned on by default. Interestingly, a couple of my neighbours' networks that I had never seen before also showed up, so the dongle appears to have quite a good `sniffing' ability.

In use, the Linksys has been pretty much faultless from the start. I don't have a `Wireless AC' router so I've only been able to test the dongle to `Wireless N' speeds, even so it has provided a consistently solid and unwavering connection.
