Although i already had a linkedin profile that was about 60% complete, I bought this book to see how I could improve on the linkedin marketing methods. Very simple book split down into days. Although parts of it say 'an hour a day', most of the things you can do it half that time. Some areas of the profile building are out of date now, and possibly need updating, but generally very good, and lots of tips in there

Viveka Von Rosen's marketing expertise shines in this book. Her deep knowledge of LinkedIn will benefit you greatly.

The book is laid out in a step-by-step guide format which makes learning easier. The reader is given daily/weekly activities to do. These hands-on activities increase learning and retention. Viveka also provides downloadable work files. She keeps you focused and on track.

I would love to see people start at the beginning of this book and go step-by-step through the book, even if you have been on LinkedIn for a while. It is possible that you may have missed out on areas you were not aware. This book speaks to various knowledge levels from beginner to advanced.

I am a business educator with a 20 year technology teaching background. This makes me look harder at the layout, clarity and value of a book's content. Can people easily learn from the book? You can learn from Viveka's book, if you discipline yourself to go through the book and perform the tasks that she gives you. She has certainly written it in a format that you can easily learn from.

LinkedIn is a powerful marketing tool, if you know how to use the tool. LinkedIn Marketing An Hour A day will teach you what you need to know to go to the next level and beyond!

I consider it a bonus that this book was written by a female marketer.

LinkedIn Marketing: An Hour A Day is an excellent resource for learning the ins and outs of this brilliant online tool. That Viveka von Rosen is a third party not immediately connected to LinkedIn gives this title extra opportunities to leverage (exploit?) what the system was designed for.

von Rosen's writing style makes this book very digestible, and the format allows real action for the person who finds it difficult to prioritise social media in their business development strategies.

By the end of Chapter 1, you've got a clear understanding of why it's necessary to utilise LinkedIn, and from the start of Chapter 2 onwards, the 'how to' makes this a useful, and necessary guide for anyone wanting to take advantage of LinkedIn.

The online supplements to this book are fantastic, ensuring that the content of the book is regularly updated to reflect the new changes, platforms and tools available for the networked individual or business.
