Product Description

Linkedin Made Easy is a ‘How to Guide’ written for those who want to be able to use the resources that this fabulous Professional Social Network has to offer more effectively and to greater benefit for themselves, their business or their company. Whether you are a solo professional looking to forge alliances with others who can help you achieve your goals and ambitions; the marketing director of a large multi-national conglomerate, a small business owner or a student looking for their first job; Linkedin offers something for each of you to help you achieve your goals. But, all too often people simply add their CV and hope for the best; occasionally getting involved when they see others doing something, but not quite sure about why they are doing it. And when the rewards aren’t forthcoming, they give it up as a lost cause and something that doesn’t work.

With a handy set of ‘Recipes for Success’ for every occasion, you will soon be developing your personal strategy to help you to achieve your goals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin..., 9 Nov 2011
The perfect book for anyone wishing to use Linkedin properly. Lots of tips on how to build the most effective profile, and also what NOT to do (which actually turns out to be quite important in some instances!). I have recommended this book to friends who I know are on Linkedin but not using it effectively.

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting the most out of LinkedIn, 6 Aug 2011
By
This review is from: LinkedIn Made Easy: Business Social Networking Simplified (Kindle Edition)
The book is easy to read and understand, and very useful to a LinkedIn novice. Even for the more experienced user there are still a few gems to be discovered. After all, there is a difference between knowing a programme or social medium and getting the most out of it. The book is also a useful reference to check now and then to make sure you have not forgotten a 'trick'.

Reading this book I was kind of pleased to see that I already knew most of it. However, the book did bring some useful tips and 'tools' to my attention that came in useful during my jobhunt - to get the most out of my network (1st and 2nd degree connections) and the companies I was interested in.

Being the medium that it is, LinkedIn is likely to change and modify itself over time, and therefore the book will need an updated edition or addendum. But then, this is valid for any book regarding a fast changing medium or tool (e.g. internet or computer software). Most of the principles and functions are likely still to be found in newer (layout) versions of LinkedIn.
