All the reviews / comments say that its 40% goose down duvet. This is not the case its actually a 15% goose down duvet you recieve (This is stated in the technical specs).

The reviews are talking about another product altogether, its very misleading and led to me getting a heavier duvet than expected and as a result Im unhappy!

These irrelevant reviews / comments should be removed!!! I phoned the company and informed them but they played dumb on the issue. Very unhelpful!

Im pretty sure they are aware of whats going on, but want to leave the positive reviews up as they are a powerful advertising tool - even if they are talking about a different product!

We bought this to test if my husband could cope with a feather duvet and intended to buy a dearer one later if so. No need - this one is great and very warm. Would recommend.

We have used a feather & down duvet (with I suspect 15% down, if that) and another, a 100% down duvet(which is not truly 100% down -- about 95% or so by "law", I understand. The 100% down duvet is three times the price but much more comfortable and much lighter. I wanted to replace my heavy (15 tog) feather & down duvet with a lighter duvet (but didn't want to pay a lot for yet another duvet). This duvet with 40% down is an excellent compromise -- it's lighter and more comfortable (than a conventional feather and down duvet that I have been using in the past). Most feather and down duvets have 15% down -- and slightly better and rare ones have 25%. So to have 40% down at this kind of price range is definitely a very good product.

Don't make the worst decision of your life by buying this horrible duvet. It reeks of duck fat and will make your skin reek of the same by the end of the week. I am very disappointed with this product.

My duvet arrived on the first working day after I ordered it. It was bought to replace one I'd been using for a long time and which - like me - was beginning to show its age. Having read the few adverse comments in earlier reviews, I was prepared to find the odd fault (and they don't come much odder than weird smells wafting up from your bed linen), but couldn't find any. Smell there was none, nor was there any trace of feathers poking through. True, as a result of the comfortable warmth this duvet provides, I find motivation to get up these dark winter mornings even harder to come by, but that's hardly a criticism of the product. I do not regret in the slightest my purchase, and can wholeheartedly recommend both the duvet and its supplier. If you're looking for high quality at a reasonable price and with excellent service, I don't believe you'll find a better buy than this.

For the asking price, this is very good value. Our old duvet was the type with long pockets ensuring that the material always slid down to the bottom of the bed as my mrs squirmed about in the night. I did buy another on Ebay a few months ago but it was so poorly filled that I returned it. I could have wished for slightly more filling from Viceroy but that is no real complaint because similar duvets in the shops can cost nearly twice as much. Dear Viceroy, Would you consider doing a 15 tog version? - I would happily have paid another £10 for something slightly thicker. Having said that, readers should not take it as a complaint, this is a very good product for the money and will suit many.

The first night using this duvet was lovely, second night not so bad the odd scratch and the odd feather but since then its like sleeping cuddled up with a porcupine. Its so bad it hurts and wakes me up. SO I've had to take off the bed and clean up the feathers that are everywhere.
I've had a feather duvet for as long as I can remember and NEVER once have I had to contend with this. The odd reminder that its a feather duvet is acceptable but not when it feels like your being attacked by the rest of the gaggle!
Also not impressed with seller who to date has not answered my email regarding the unsatisfactory product this is why I've resorted to posting this review!!!
