Surprisingly good!,

This is an unusual game. I only bought it because it was cheap and couldn't find anything else at that price that I fancied. However this game turned out to be a big surprise. I wasn't expecting much as i'd never really heard of it and when I started playing the first level I was strugling to get to grips with it! Once I got through the first level everything started to look up!
What they have done in this game is something that i've never seen before! They have taken a game which should be like any other 1st person shooter (think Medal of Honour, Call of duty etc) and added certain elements of the Rainbow Six genre of games. For instance one well placed shot from an enemy is all it takes to kill you. Also most of the levels have the sam sort of style as the Rainbow Six games (although in this game they are much larger and in a jungle). There is a good deal of free roam which enables you too choose your path to your objectives. You can climb high andtake your enemies on from high ground or you can crawl through the bushes and sneak up on them. The A.I. is pretty good and if an enemy starts shooting chances are that either you or your spotter will be hit. The graphics in the game are not spectacuar but thety are acceptable. It is really hard to see through the bushes and high grass and that can be irretating at times but I suppose it does make it more realistic. Weapon variety is pretty good and you have a lot of choice as to which weapon you use (although you should really choose one of the two sniper rifles, otherwise it kinda becomes pointless). The one problem I had was the quality of the night vision. It was not good and I ended up playing half the night time missions without it. But apart from that this is a decent enough game. At this price you really could do much worst and as long as you are not expecting the kind of quality that Medal of Honour and Call of Duty offer you won't be disapointed

This item came to me as something of a side order really, and just like in a restaraunt, where the starter is so good, you really find you have no need of the main course.
I played the game throughout and was left impressed with the graphics, particularly in the scenery, and the ambience that that created. You get goose bumps. Whilst it doesnt take long to figure out the AI game plan, following the standard trigger format, after each in-game reload, things are not always the same which helps maintain interest,if not a little excitement. Game controls were relatively simple as opposed to overly cumbersome, much like you would experience in a real life scenario. The intro contains some of the best footage of the Vietnam era I have seen, and I have seen a lot, well worth a few viewings.

Not a bad little game this, especially for the money. As mentioned by the previous poster the enemy can be hard to see at times, they tend to blend into to the bushes as everything, just about anyway, is a shade of green. Fun and not to be taken too seriously.
