Product Description

3 Year Warranty

Part of Lindo Guitars' higher-end range of models which they are so confident about, are issuing them with an extended manufacturer’s warranty of 36 months for peace of mind (value of £48.99 but is included free with every purchase).

Advanced manufacturing techniques create a design which is very comfortable to play - for both men and women.

How does it sound acoustically?

The Roundback produces a very bright and resonant tone – with warm bass notes and bright treble, helped by the body shape and excellent tone woods used.

‘The electro element’

A further benefit to this guitar is that, of course, with it being an ‘electro-acoustic’, it can be easily plugged into an amplifier with a standard ¼” jack lead (also available from the Lindo store). The piezoelectric pick-up (under bridge saddle) is very responsive and produces excellent output. Don’t forget that this guitar features a pre-amp which includes an equalizer too - you can alter the presence, bass, middle and treble at the flick of the sliders - so can achieve a sound that is tailored to your requirements. There is also an independent volume dial on the unit which will help to balance the output between guitar and amplifier.

The pre-amp unit requires power from a 9v battery and 1 battery should provide hours upon hours of use but the pre-amp unit will tell you when the battery is low through the red LED ‘low battery indicator checker’ feature.

There are two strap pins on this model but as an alternative: one end of the strap can be tied around the headstock which may work better in terms of weight distribution.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice 17 April 2012

I bought the Lindo slim roundback a while ago, I checked out the reviews (there weren't any), but the guitar looked good and the price was great 99 down from 200 on offer, so I thought I'd take a chance. It arrived, nice bit of kit, but with horrible heavy strings on it, so I changed them to light Martin 0.11 strings, and what a lovely sound!
The shallow bowl still gives the right resonance, (and it does have that Ovation sound - oh why did I sell my Ovation years ago?????!), that light but sharp and lovely tone.
A slightly lower string action would be better I must admit, but hey ho, for 99, who can complain, and it's easy to drop the action anyway with such a straight neck.

Nice.

P.S. I haven't tried it through an amp, because I like acoustic guitars, so I can't comment on the electro-acoustic side of things.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome! 6 July 2012
By Megz T
Well, I was a beginner at guitar and had no clue what kind of guitar I wanted! I started looking around and found this guitar. It's truly awesome, it came in very secure packaging (took me a while to get into) and had all the strings in tact and no scratches at all. As soon as it arrived I started playing and it was great, well still is! no trouble what so ever! The only downside I can think of is that sometimes because of the round back it can slip off when playing but other than that truly great guitar :) it has a very good sound to it and the electric side is very affective :) very happy customer and will buy again from Lindo :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Electric Acoustic 3 May 2012
Verified Purchase
I purchased the guitar for my son's 18th birthday in May this year. He has several electric guitars but had started his musical career on an old acoustic that I had had for a long time. He is also attending college studying music so now plays guitar, bass and drums. He has been very pleased with the acoustic and the sound is excellent. It also arrived in very good time from point of order. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value 22 Oct 2012

Bought for my son who was always using my guitar. He likes this new one especially because it has the built-in pick up. The battery seems to have lasted a long time. It sounds good when he plays it with or without plugging it to the amp. Has decent action. He is very pleased with it and gets on OK with the round back though not everyone would. Bought at sale price so it was worth the money; don't think it would be such good value at full price. The strap fixes to the body so the neck tends to fall down when not holding it but tying the strap around the neck instead of the knob easily solves the issue. The canvas bag is fairly low quality but a good starter.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ACOUSTIC PURCHASE 16 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase
THIS WAS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MY HUSBAND, WHO HAS PLAYED A SOLID ELECTRIC GUITAR FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS. HE WAS LOOKING FOR AN ACOUSTIC,BUT ONE WITH AN ELECTRIC PICKUP. HE IS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE LINDO SLIM AND THE SOUNDS CREATED BY THE BOWL SHAPE. HE PARTICULARLY LIKES USING IT TO PLAY COUNTRY MUSIC, BUT HE ALSO FINDS IT LENDS ITSELF NICELY TO FOLK MUSIC. IT HAS A VERY APPEALING LOOK.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great 10 Dec 2013

Bought this guitar a few years ago, Strings on it are quite terrible, they WILL break after some moderate use. The action could be a lot better too. Really hurt my fingers. You get what you pay for really. Honestly there are better guitars out there for the price. Avoid this one if possible.
