why oh why did i spend so researching this boring area when my friends had this gate already! perfect if you want pressure fit, a unobtrusive design and one-handed closing. enough said. stop researching, buy this now and go spend time with your baby!

I ordered two of these gates for downstairs rooms. They fitted perfectly without a need for extensions, very pleased with them. I need a third gate for the top of the stairs but wanted to see how the downstairs ones worked first. We already know that we will need an extension for our third gate, but don't mind as it is a wider opening. Have just ordered exactly the same third gate. Would suggest that you order the extension directly from Lindam so that you get the right one as there are various different gates. I have done this - was £7.99, free p&p!

I looked long and hard for a stairgate and bought this as it seemed easy to install and middle of the road price. WRONG.......It is difficult for 1 person to install as the gate locking mechanism is pushed together by tightening the bolts. Also if your gap is just less than the max width then make sure you buy an extension. When this gate is near max width it can be moved if pushed on and will eventually fail. it only feels stable if used on minimum width.
I need another one and will just be buying the cheapest one possible.

Lindam safety gate
Brilliant gate keeps my youngest out from places he's not allowed would definitely recommend I'd definitely buy more if I needed them.
