I bought one of thesse to fit a very small doorway (68cm) and it does the job brilliantly. Looks really nice and you can undo the catch with one hand which is very useful. The only reason it lost a star is the screws. I had one break off in the doorframe and had to raise the gate to compensate. I lost another 3 screws to the screwhead getting chewed by the screwdriver. I got similar ones out of my toolbox and sorted in minutes (wish I hadn't spent so long trying the supplied ones). So happy with product - I ordered 2 more yesterday and they arrived this morning (on the 5 day free delivery!).

Stairgate does what it says on the box but I found the fixing screws and rawlplugs supplied were not man enough and I had to change them for bigger ones after four or five days

This gate was bought for our stairs - we have a large gap and a bannister on one sire and a plasterboard on the other - after several attempts to secure it we finally had to put up a piece of wood as the plasterboard wasn't strong enough once the gate was in use. If they do one that doesn't need nailing then I wish I'd got that! Its not got a metal strip at the bottom so no chance of tripping up. Aesthetically it's great and does what it should do now its secured.

do not bother
This gate is supposed to be adjustable but only adjusts approximately in 2 inch sections leaving either a tiny margin or a huge one. Read more

Do not buy
I needed two stair gates and have had nothing but trouble from these. Though they are easy to fit, within a month the plastic snapped on the hinges of the gate. Read more
