The Lindam Deluxe Ultrasonic Humidifier uses ultrasonic technology, allowing you to control the moisture level in your baby's room. The optional demineralisation cartridge (supplied), should be used in hard water areas to minimise limescale residue. The humidifier is easy to use, a contoured handle is seamlessly built into the slim water tank which is easy to fill straight from your tap. How does it work then? Water flows into the base, it then passes through the demineralisation cartridge, water is then atomised by ultrasonic sound waves and mist is propelled into the air! The Ultrasonic Humidifier includes variable moisture settings to choose from so that you have complete control over the moisture level output. The unit comes in a compact space saving design,there are no filters to replace for ease of use and convenience.

Great humidifier but too much light for me,

Wow - have to say this had a great effect on my sons cough. I switched it off through the night as a test and within minutes the poor mite was coughing again. But if you don't like night-lights then you may need to look for a different model. It doesn't say so in description but the unit lights up when switched on and glows blue. The model I got did make the noise of a small fan... but having spoken to the manufacturer they thought it sounded faulty, as it is supposed to run virtually silently...(A work around on the light could be a piece of gaffa tape around the bulb bit?? We haven't tried as exchanging it for something else.) It did work well in our small room - (barely 9ft by 6 ft) - I was concerned that it would make the walls damp but it didnt at all... we had it on a medium to low setting... there are 5 settings in total which seems good to me.

Don't buy! Breaks easily,

We have now had two of these humidifers. The first stopped working when I put a few drops of Olbas Oil in the water tank when my baby had a cold. I belatedly read the instructions which clearly state that you can't add ANYTHING to the water, so I figured it was my fault that it stopped working and bought a replacement. The second one lasted about a month of regular nightly use and then it stopped producing any water vapour. This time I followed the care and maintenance instructions to the letter but it has made no difference. The same thing happened both times - the paint started to flake off the highly sensitive nebulizer, which stopped it working, and there is no way to fix it.When it's working, the humidifier is great - it's almost silent and keeps my baby's room just humid enough even when the central heating's on. But clearly this machine is not built for long-term daily use, which is what we need! Waste of money. Do not buy.

Faulty on arrival,

Bought this and had it sent overseas, as the air conditioning was drying out my baby's skin. Followed the setup instructions to the letter, the only thing it produced was a small amount of mist from the bottom of the unit, 5 hours on still no mist and the light went out, despite still being full of water...now there's no power, changed the fuse but made no difference. I thought Lindam wa a trusted baby brand....but not on this product, hugely disappointed and no way of returning it back to the UK.
