Joan Aiken's continuing saga of the adventures of Dido Twite and friends just gets better and better. This book is the best yet, plenty of excitment to grip readers, from child to adult. Thought provoking material and a development of ideas that is so current and yet is skillfully woven into the time setting of the stories. An imaginative,entertaining and enjoyable book. You must read it!

Dido,after being ship-wrecked on the Scottish coast is picked up by the good ship, the Siwara and meets Dr.Talisman, the Dilendi forest person, Tylo, another forest person, Yorka and the English Lord Herodsfoot, out looking for games for King James the 3rd. They stay much longer than expected!They climb the cliff of Death and discover Talismans past and reach Limbo Lodge!!!
