A complete, organic, holistic food for cats.

A WARM WELCOME FROM LILY’S KITCHEN

Welcome To Lily's Kitchen: Our Story

When Henrietta's beloved Border Terrier named Lily continued to have itchy skin and ears, she suspected it may have been due to Lily's diet and consulted with her vet. Lily had stopped eating shop bought food. We discovered shop foods contained highly processed, mechanically recovered parts of unidentified animals, and are mixed with flours, leftovers and grease. Pushed through moulding machines, it's made to look like chunks of meat. It's packed with jellies, gravies and preservatives. No wonder Lily wasn't very healthy and didn't fancy it! It was time do something! We got together with a team of vets and nutritionists to create the kind of pet food we'd want to feed Lily. We believed that other pet owners would love a healthy diet option and would happily pay a bit extra for real food that would have a healthy impact on pets. For two years, we scoured the UK and Europe looking for kitchens who could produce food in small batches and use exceptional ingredients. Lily now eagerly tucks into every meal. She is enjoying her food and we can see how good it is for her. No more itchy skin, plus a shiny, healthy coat and good breath.

She's the picture of her health.

My Tonkinese girl is quite fussy but both my cats gobble up this food in all the flavours greedily and miaow madly when they see the packets. They are both very healthy, and their coats shine like silk. I love that it is organic, and unlike all the other organic foods I have seen it is grain free and therefore species appropriate to cats as obligate carnivores. All the others use cheap grain fillers. And I also love they add a great natural whole food supplement like spirulina.

I am also impressed with the excellent customer service from Lilys Kitchen. When I recently had a problem with part of my order I was given a refund and then surprised when a large surprise box of free cat food arrived on my doorstep . Certainly more than enough to keep me a loyal customer!!!!

Both of our pampered Persians recently had to have 4 teeth out, almost breaking our hearts when we brought them home so wobbly and we HATED having to give them antibiotics daily (one had to have them for a month, which is dangerous for health) - plus they would try to spit them out (we tried crumbling it in their food but it only worked once per cat).

We realised their expensive supermarket cat pouches (the highest meat content we could find but even so not even 20% meat) must have had a great part to play in this. We'd tried other brands before, tried various raw meats (minced up) and even tried home-cooking meats (mashed up) but they would not budge. But now we were determined to try other, higher-meat-content cat foods, having found several 80% meat ones are now available.

They would not touch any of the others, only Lily's, the only organic one. After some pussyfooting around (pun intended, sorry) they agreed to tolerate Lily's organic pouches, provided it was mixed with their usual brand. Initially we were doing 2 pouches of their old brand (the highest amount of meat in supermarket-available brands) mixed with 1 Lily's tray - of course they still played games but we persisted this time. We were determined they would never again have to have another operation that could have been prevented.

After a month they've let us move to half and half. We hope that by the end of the summer they will accept Lily's organic trays alone. Already, but only when very hungry (we normally feed on demand, little and often), they will accept Lily's alone in their dish. We alternate the four types - chicken, lamb, fish & turkey (although all contain a similar mixture) - as cats in the wild get variety.

Since I changed from standard cat food to Lily's Kitchen Organic cat food I have seen remarkable changes in my cat's health and vitality. Her coat was dry and thin before and is now soft, shiny and thick. She used to throw up quite often and this has all but stopped, apart from the occasional furrball. She has more energy and has started doing sprints around the house and playing more.

My cats love this and I use it all the time. The cats always come for dinner now, great as we like to keep our cats in at night to prevent fighting and reduce the impact on wildlife. The cats come running for this food like they never did for anything else. Plus we know there is no horse meat in it!

I already have raved about the Organic Fish variety of this food but have to say this is another favourite of Ambers- she inhales this food and eats every meal with gusto!

Our cat is fussy. 15 on a scale of 1 to 10. She says she's selective. She'll eat what she wishes to eat, when she so chooses and if that doesn't coincide with two leg choice, not her problem.

So, first couple of times, she ate this with relish. Next time she ignored it totally. I offered again a week or so later and she ate it. On that basis, it's the cat that's the issue, not the food. I'm keeping the 10 or 11 trays to feed intermittently as an alternative to other wet food.

My cat Ruby has been raised on organic cat food, and Lily's Kitchen is the one we have settled on as favourite. It's a pate type formula, quite soft, which I cut into small bite size squares for her. She prefers to have small chunks of 2 different flavours in the same bowl - as long as one of them is fish! She's also very fond of the turkey variety.
