Released on 30th of January 2012. Formed when an expatriate American singer got together with former members of legendary punk outfit Subway Sect, JOBOXERS became a sensation in the 1983 with a Northern Soul infused pop sound.
JOBOXERS' first and biggest UK hit was the #3 smash BOXERBEAT, which was followed months later by the #7 hit JUST GOT LUCKY. This second single also reached the charts in Australia and USA, where it made a big enough impression to be selected for the soundtrack of the Steve Carell comedy 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' over 20 years later.
JOBOXERS' debut album LIKE GANGBUSTERS reached the US Pop charts and became a Top 20 hit in the UK in addition to producing a third consecutive UK Top 40 hit single in the form of JOHNNY FRIENDLY. A Further non album single JEALOUS LOVE gave the band their fourth hit of an amazing debut year. In addition to containing the now rare original 7" and 12" remixes, this 20 track expanded remaster also contains rare b-sides Let's Talk About Love, Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money Too) and Forget Me Love as well as the hit JEALOUS LOVE, of which the studio version makes it's CD debut here.

the cd came very qick after i orderd it its brillient i love the track just got lucky superb . first heard the songt on a danny baker footie show 1996 i new it was from 1983 when i heard it for real on the cd i thought great

This is a great album, not quite sure how I missed it the first time around. The obvious hit 'Boxerbeat' is on here in a couple of versions and so is 'Just Got Lucky' but the rest of the album is equally brilliant. There is a good range of different styles, sounds, time signatures and vocals to keep the interest through what is a very long album with all of the extra tracks. It still sounds fresh. There are no fillers on this, every track stands on its own. Although there is an element of nostalgia attached to the songs they do not sound out of place in todays music scene. In fact today's charts would sound better if some of this material were to appear. Great value. Definitely worth a purchase.

Having seen one of the tracks from this cd played on the television, all the memories of old came flooding back. After receiving the cd i couldn't help but dance to the tracks as I did in times gone by. It is a very uplifting sensation
