Bottom line - this is absolutely NOT worth £14. Better to put the money towards a more expensive leather case or other fabric case.
It does provide some protection but the "hard case" bit is a joke, unless your definition of hard case is fabric stuck on some cardboard. Having said that, I would use this case if I wanted to transport my kindle inside some other luggage and the advantage of it is that the zip fastening seals the Kindle completely inside, unlike the "bookcover" style ones which leave some edges exposed. But it does not provide what I wanted which was an exo-skeleton like really hard case (a la Samsonite as someone mentioned in a review of another case) to provide total protection with an all around seal. Maybe I expect too much, but I want my Kindle to be super-safe cos I luv it!!!
So it's an OK case, medium protection, not really a case you can read the Kindle comfortably with, just a carry case that you take the kindle out of to use. If it had been £6-£7 I would have been happier.
If you are going to spend £15 or more, go to the much more expensive ones such as Amazon's own leather one. It may be V expensive but it is quality, stiffer, thicker cover than this and you can read the Kindle without taking it out of the cover. So, anyone up for making a Steel Book style case? Preferably bulletproof? OK maybe that is asking too much......
