Product Description

Review

"Each book presents an important religious festival in an appealing format. Appropriate bold and colourful illustrations cover each double page spread. These help highlight the cultural and religious nature of the festivals. The texts are brief and simple, telling the stories in a way that naturally explains the rationale behind the respective festivals through the activities and statements made by the children." Books for Keeps"

Product Description

A simple introduction to the Hindu festival of Divali. Follow a family as they make rangoli patterns, light divas and watch a brilliant fireworks display to celebrate their amazing festival of light.

This pre-school series introduces young children to world religions and focuses on the way the festival is celebrated today. There is detailed historical and cultural information at the end for parents and teachers.

I was very pleased at the fast prompt delivery of this book. The book is really good and an easy way to share Divali with 2-4 yr old children. The pictures are bright and colourful and kept the children's attention.

I was recently teaching my reception / Year 1 class about Diwali. I thought this book was perfect for helping the children (and myself) to learn about the basic traditions of the festival. I would definitely recommend it and would buy the other books in the range too.
