The Alphason stand arrives in two very heavy but well packaged boxes. The wooden side panels are of good quality oak veneer and the metal parts are (slightly rough) matt black.
Assembly is very easy with the enclosed instructions and the parts fit together very precisely using only the enclosed tools. The back is veneered on both sides and is a welcome change from the usual flimsy fibreboard. The glass shelves are well protected in transit and are held in place by small rubber pads. You can vary the position of the two middle shelves to suit your equipment and the back has cutouts for mains cables, etc. The feet are also adjustable. Altogether a smart and impressive piece of furniture.

i bought this unit to provide a good home for my sky box, dvd player and ps3 and it does a very good job.
