Quite simply, this is one of the most wonderful chorus-based songs ever. It's also the single version, which has the odd extra bit of harmonic magic to spice it up. I love it!

www.glasswerk.co.uk review 9 April 2003
By ricky - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
How can anyone not enjoy this? In a world where drone-rock is the new black and burned-out musicians get far too much attention, listening to the Polyphonic Spree is the feeling you get when a welcome breeze hits your face on a hot summers day. Sounding like a cross between the Beach Boys and Granddaddy on a dose of happy pills, theres a certain gospel quality to their new single Light and Day, re-recorded and released to coincide with the Sprees stint on the NME Awards Tour. New track The March is also included, complete with tweeting birdie noises and joyous wave your lighter in the air and hold hands with the person next to you moments. If you should find yourself starting to feel too happy when youre listening to this though, stick some Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on instead. Thatll sort you right out.

12 bucks for one great song 9 Sep 2003
By Pantone292 - Published on Amazon.com

Let's face it, the original version of Light and Day is an excellent song. The remix is awful. The filler song is just okay. I'd suggest buying the full album to get your money's worth.
