I tested this on a battery analyser and got 906mAh (label states 1200mAh). The same test on the original Nikon battery yielded 1040mAh (label states 1000mAh). Fair performance for the price.

Bought this as a second back up for my Nikon D5000. Phenomenal. Took the camera out to shoot an evening event took 400 shots and the battery was still on 'full' Still in my camera wondering if it will ever run out. Brilliant value for the price.

Very impressive for a replacement battery
The battery certainly performs better than the original does in my Nikon D40, lasting noticeably longer, and in temperatures of -20 Celsius!

Not quite what it seemed.
The battery has a rated voltage of 7.4 volts and marked as aNikon EN-EL9 equivalent. The genuine battery in my Nikon D5000 is a EN-EL9a with a rated voltage of 7. Read more

Alternative to nikon original battery
Bought as an alternative to a Nikon original. Have used both batteries interchangeably with no problems, in fact I wouldn't be aware which one I was using.
