I bought this jack along with a set of Draper expert axle stands (Heavy duty pin-locking type) as I wanted a solid setup and don't trust the cheaper ratchet-style stands which are currently spec'd with this jack in the 'Amazon bundle' section.

I unboxed the axle stands first and was thrilled with the size and quality.

I then unboxed this jack and was surprised at how small it actually is. It seems solid enough and is packed with a few nice features as I'm sure the product listing will tell you but I couldn't help notice there is a LOT of play side-to-side in the various linkages. The bar/handle itself for operating the jack has huge amounts of play both where it slots into its linkage and in the linkage itself which compresses the piston.

My main cause for concern however was when I placed the jack along side the axle stand. I set the stand at its lowest setting - barely tall enough to get my head and upper body under the vehicle, let alone work on it from that position - and proceeded to raise the jack to its maximum lift. This confirmed my doubts. The jack fully raised is the same height as the stands at their lowest setting and therefore impossible to use to jack my car onto the stands.

Picture: [...]

In hindsight I should have double and triple checked heights etc before making the purchase but as this jack was listed with Draper stands, albeit the ratchet style, I did not foresee any problems.

I now have to decide whether to return a 15kg package or try to use wooden blocks for extra lift (something which undermines the purpose of a LOW ENTRY jack in the first place).

I will not slate this product altogether as I'm sure I would have similar problems with most cheap trolley jacks but it is something to consider before making your purchase.

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with purchase compelled me to write this one.

When the trolley jack I've had for the last 30 years finally gave I started to look for that I could use for my sons cars and also in case I neede to work on my own (MG TF) hence the requirement for low profile. I loved the idea of a saddle with light but had my reservations.

I was delighted to see when I saw the "Your item has been shipped" email arrive the same day as I ordered it, even more so when I followed the tracking number supplied and found it was due between 09:07 and 10:07 the following day.

At 09:16 the following day the package arrived and the socket holder was broken - gutted, everything had been fantastic. Anyway, I didn't want to send it back so I emailled the seller to see if they could send a new part out which they did they following day. I really can't praise their customer service too highly.

So armed with a new trolley jack I set about replacing the the reversing light swith on my car. The lights guided me too the longditudinal arm of the rear chassis well, and the swivel handle made it a breeze operate from under the wheel arch. The built in wheel brace (sockets attached to the jack handle) is a nice touch. All in all a great product from a company that has given me an excellant customer experience - thank you.

Jack arrived well packed with all components in good condition. The jack balances nicely at the lifting handle and the 13 kg weight and lifting capacity compare favourably well with Alloy jacks at twice the price! I inserted batteries (a bit fiddly) but LEDs all lit when button pressed and went out automatically after a minute or so. I used jack on my Caterham 7 (necessary to insert a piece of wood to spread load if jacking on a tube) and was pleased with the low entry (8cm) and good lift (28cm). The swivelling feature on the loading tube/handle is very useful when working in a confined space. The sockets, suitable for wheel nuts, are a handy bonus. Great product.

Delivery was very quick no problems
this jack is so easy to pump up no effort and the low profile means that it fits under the body kit no problems.
exceptional value for a quality piece of kit the only negative i could think of is that the handle could have been longer, saying that i would definately buy again.

Small, light, good load rating.

Not used the LED's yet, seem a faff.

Cheaper, no heavier and a higher load rating than much more expensive aluminium ones, while also being smaller. A no brainer.

Really low entry point. Feels pretty well made.

No downsides that I can see. A well developed and priced jack!

A well built and sturdy bit of kit.

I own a BMW E46 running low on coilovers and this fits under the car with no problems! Used to have to put the wheel onto a piece of wood before i could get my old jack under the car! This cures that problem

Good jack for low cars.

I needed this to change a steering pump on my Peugeot. The item arrived very promptly, and apart from a weak-feeling jacking socket (it took a bit of effort on each jacking stroke and felt as if the socket might eventually fail - the handle is quite a loose fit)it did the job well. I have not used the locating light, but I am sure it would help in dark conditions. The addition of wheel stud sockets is a great help, and are used in conjunction with the reversed jacking handle.
All in all, worth the money, and it has saved me a lot of money by allowing me to do more of my own car maintenance.
