This is a beautifully produced, well written and illustrated, book.It tells of the ultimate triumph of Barnsley winning the FA Cup in 1912 after a narrow failure in the 1910 final. It is,however, more than just a football story as there is a good deal of social history as well.
The most poignant pages concern the team's outstanding winger Wilf Bartrop who was to die in action just 4 days before the end of the First World War.
This is an excellent book which should appeal to all interested in the history of the game.
