I am outsourced right now to Eastern Europe, where I have a hard time finding lactase enzyme.
I tried to order this low priced product. They were really weak, but that is OK since I can use cheap pills when food have low levels of lactose.
So I ordered two more bottles of pills. That gave problems...
The pills seems pressed and don't have a protective coating. There is an airtight seal for the bottle to keep the air out; this failed for one bottle -- the content smells badly. I don't dare try them.
The content of the other bottle doesn't seem to work at all. (My normal Swedish brand of lactas (which I sadly can't order over the net) works with food that it fails for.) I have to assume the pills are faked or that I didn't notice a small air leak in the seal for this bottle too.
The wasted money is irrelevant. It is just not fun to experiment and fail with lactose; the worst part isn't the stomach but that you smell from rotten milk without knowing it. I am not amused.
Do I have to import half a years use, next time I go to Scandinavia?!
Are there any good products for this on Amazon.co.uk? (They wanted 11 Pound for freight of the J&J one; I refuse to pay that for such a small package.)
