Covers more than its title suggests,

This little pocket book covers far more than its title suggests. It's a revelation for those, whether in business or not, who don't already enjoy a professional interest in the subject. I mined several gems, from the opening quotation (why today's world favours learners over the learned), through NLP and the nine intelligences to Ten Steps to Lifelong Learning. If you're like me, some bits will already be familiar and others new, but having all the different concepts you've come across at various points in one place crystallises things. I knew lifelong learning and self-awareness had become more important but, had I thought about it at all, would have imagined it was all to do with training. The book describes what it is, with practical pointers on how to go about it. The author's other title in this series (Risk Management) is written at the same level - a big picture perspective of how and why the subject area has evolved, plus key concepts distilled from seminal works - some of which you'll have read, others just heard about.
