Andrea's first release in over four years, `Lifelines' is a real singers album - a deeply personal, warm and intimate exploration of her inspirations as an artist - and features a diverse, and sometimes surprising, collection of songs all built around Andrea's sublime and evocative voice.
Produced by John Reynolds and featuring co-production on several tracks by Brian Eno, `Lifelines' is a personally curated collection of songs that have resonated throughout Andrea's life and includes stunning versions of songs by a range of artists from Velvet Underground, Kirsty McColl, Harry Nilsson to Ron Sexsmith, Nick Drake and The Blue Nile.
Expansive yet intimate, grown-up yet powerfully vulnerable, the primary instrument on the album is the voice and `Lifelines' see's Andrea at her most diverse, pushing the vocals and extending her range far beyond her previous recordings.

Format:Audio CD
It's been a long four years since Andrea's solo debut, the very underated Ten Feet High, which I really liked.
Lifelines is an eclectic collection of some of her favourite songs, most of which I wasn't familiar with.
As with her previous album, there is very little here reminiscent of her work with The Corrs. Only the current single Tinseltown In The Rain (complete with yeah-ee-eahs) sounds like anything she did with her siblings.
My favourites are Pale Blue Eyes, Tinseltown, From The Morning, Lifeline, Tomorrow In Her Eyes & Some Things Last A Long Time (the last three songs are very special).
The production by John Reynolds is fantastic. The instruments are kept to a minimum or turned right down in the mix to allow her voice to take centre stage.
A nice collection of songs, which I've already listened to several times. The perfect background music for doing the ironing!
I personally think that DVDs given away with albums are a bit of a gimmick, to be watched once (if that) and never seen again but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
It features Andrea talking about some of the tracks, interspersed with partial live performance of that track, followed by a touching interview, the video and Making Of Tinseltown and a Photo Gallery. It's beautifully filmed and edited. I will definitely be watching this more than once.
I hope we don't have to wait so long until the next release.

Great to see Andrea back. Loved the album and would recommend it to any Andera or Corrs fans. The DVD pack is also worth a look

Having seen Andrea live these tracks remind us of the quality of her voice and
the bonus interview DVD is a welcome addition.The package arrived sooner than the expected date and all the tracks are acoustically first class.

NOT A BAD ALBUM BUT COULD OF BEEN A LOT BETTER, LOOKED LIKE IT WAS RUSHED OUT TO JOIN HER SISTERS ALBUM THAT ALSO CAME OUT THIS YEAR.

Excellent CD
I bought this CD after seeing Andrea in concert and it's really easy listening album with lots of familiar songs on it.

Very good, always liked the Corrs, but that was ten years ago. Glad to see she has retained the charm of their work.
