Don't buy this film from this company. I have bought another dvd from them as well and the quality is worse than a bad pirate copy, sound and colour awful.

This is a type of film and plot that has gone out of fashion. A gentle comedy performed by two experts of that style. William Powell seems in control, but of course it is his wife, admirably played by Irene Dunne, that is the true master of the house. There love for each other is always there and the scene where they sit arm in arm singing to each other in gentle harmony is a gem. The only reason I have not awarded 5 stars is the quality of the DVD. I'm sure that it could be better.

Very disappointed with this dvd. Poor quality sound and vision. I have previously tape recorded this film from the Tv with much better results.

Mud Quality
Life with Father is a minor classic in the genre of mid-century Hollywood nostalgically evoking a lost, pre-WWI America. And it stars William Powell and a young Elizabeth Taylor. Read more

Let down.
Very similar comment to make as has already been said. The sound quality is dire, it sounds muffled. It's a shame though because this is a lovely film, really fabulous. Read more
