Product Description

Rik Myslewski has followed Apple since the beginning, as a user, as editor of MacAddict, and as San Francisco editor for The Register.

In this Reg book he plots Jobs' career from Silicon Valley Hellion to Apple Mk 1, NeXTS, Pixar, Apple Mk II, the iPhone and Cancer. Genius? Prick? Nasty? Mercurial? The world's greatest salesman?

Rik considers all these Jobs and more in "The Life and Times of Steve Jobs".

4.0 out of 5 stars Good overview 14 Dec 2011
Its worth noting that the text of this has appeared already on the Register.com web site. However as a handy read in Kindle format its worth a look. It doesn't cost much and is written in a very readable style. Its worth going back to register article afterwards to see all the video clips and pictures.

3.0 out of 5 stars A cash in thing. 13 April 2013

This is a lightweight volume. It offers nothing new on the legend of Jobs. There are better Jobs books out there. I was left with the feeling that this was written to cash in on the surge of interest after Jobs died.

3.0 out of 5 stars Is this the same article that was printed in The Register? 8 Dec 2011

I read the multi-part series on Job's life on The Register shortly after his death. Is this the same article or has something new been added?
