Queen Latifah shows what a great actress, Woman she is. Whether it is a comedy, a drama or a serious role Queen Latifah produces a great performance. This is a wonderful story about a woman living with HIV. Raises some important questions for all. The interviews in the extra features were also moving and I am thankful that the filmaker chose to share his sister's story with the world. Powerful story well executed in this film.

Films aren't just for entertainment, there is a lesson to be learned here. HIV did not go away just because the media isn't raming it down our throats, it is affecting families worldwide.

Brilliant film superb acting by all and for this price you cannot fail so buy it. I love independent filmakers they keep it real.

What a film! Had me in tears at the end, middle and beginning! Queen plays an amazing character (who is interviewed on the extras) struggling so hard to prevent more people succumbing to this horrible disease. Excellent film, a real tear-jerker but worth every one.

This film is excellent! Queen Latifah really done this true story justice, I couldn't think of another actress to play her role. A fetching story how a mother overcomes her drug addiction and deals with the highs and lows of being HIV pos. How she battles with her relationship with her eldest daughter who resides with her grandmother and how she also helps the community by telling her stoy.

thought provoking and gives you an idea of how critical this true story is for ppl, espcially in the states.

The story of this film is based on a true story which I think shows in the feeling and pace of it.
It's slow going initially but the subject matter of HIV and AIDS is dealt with well . I did prefer 'Philadelphia' with Tom Hanks but this felt more real and Queen Latifa portrayed her character perfectly, she can do both comedy and drama , something not many can in my opinion .

I think this is a powerful film which really shows the trials of living with HIV especially in a poor ,underpriviledged community in America .It has lots of heart and is well acted by all in it ,well worth a watch .

I am great fan of Queen Latifah this addressed some difficult but relevant issues and although at times quite disturbing was able to leave the viewer feeling reflective and up lifted.
